Laboratory Responsibles: Professor Fatih ALTUN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tamer DİRİKGİL
About the Laboratory
In this laboratory, there are crane cranes with a capacity of 15 tons, a loading wall, loading jacks, data collection devices, displacement meters, load cells. Experiments of building elements (beam, column, shear wall, wall, floor) can be done by means of equipment.

Laboratory Name: HYDRAULIC Laboratory
Type of Equipment / Number of Equipment: 8/8
Location : Erciyes University Faculty of Engineering, Main Campus B Block Basement Floor, 38039, Melikgazi/ KAYSERİ
Laboratory Responsibles: Professor Ahmet Alper ÖNER, Res. Asst. Mücella İLKENTAPAR
About the Laboratory
The hydraulic laboratory provides services for research and education with its developing infrastructure. In the laboratory, basic experiments in fluid mechanics, hydraulics and hydrology are done by undergraduate students. In this laboratory, an open channel mechanism with a 60 cm wide, 10 m long adjustable base of slope, a flow rate between 5 lt/sec and 50 lt/sec together with water circulation was manufactured. In this laboratory, there is an Ultrasonic Flow Meter that measures the flow rate in all penstocks with an error of ± 3 from 5 cm to 100 cm in diameter, and a digital muline that measures point velocity with an error of ± 1, purchased with the support of the Erciyes University Rectorate.

Laboratory Responsibles: Professor Okan KARAHAN, Asst. Prof. Dr. Uğur DURAK
About the Laboratory
In the construction materials laboratory, all experiments from the design to the performance of the concrete material used in the construction of the reinforced concrete buildings, which constitute the majority of the buildings in Turkey, are carried out. Necessary equipment is available to monitor the behavior of new generation materials. In the construction materials laboratory the following experiments are conducted: •Coarse and fine aggregate tests •Los Angeles abrasion test •Bohme horizontal abrasion test •Vertical abrasion test •Concrete compressive strength test •Fresh concrete tests •Concrete durability tests •Non-destructive concrete tests •Concrete core tests •Thermal permeability test •Steel tensile test

Laboratory Name: GEOTEKNICAL Laboratory
Type of Equipment / Number of Equipment : 11/11
Location : Erciyes University Faculty of Engineering, Main Campus, C Block Basement Floor, 38039, Melikgazi/ KAYSERİ
Laboratory Responsibles: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zülküf KAYA, Res. Asst. Aykut EROL
About the Laboratory
All engineering structures transfer their loads to the ground and cause the ground to carry them. Geotechnical department in civil engineering works on determining the geotechnical properties of soils and using them in design. The areas of applications such as roads, dams, retaining structures (retaining wall, palplans, anchorage, etc.), excavations, slopes, etc. including foundations of the buildings can come engineers’ way. In the soil mechanics laboratory of our department, there are classical test sets used to determine the physical and mechanical properties of soils and are constantly used in studies related to the subject. The following tests can be carried out: • Specific gravity test • Water content determination • Sieve analysis • Hydrometer analysis • Liquid limit test • Plastic limit test • Compaction test • California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test • Constant level and falling level permeability tests • Consolidation test • Free pressure test • Shear Box test • Field and Laboratory Vane test • Dynamic Probe test.
